Magick Carpet have gone from strength to strength this year. The music is maturing and reaching new heights. Rajesh's voice and Pete's sax or flute seem to dance around one another, while Paul and Smudger create a fluid musical foundation for Kelly's ecstatic tabla playing to fly from. Their music is a painting of sound, multilayered and intensely exhilarating. The Autumn gigs at the Mulberry Bush, Castle Cafe and Waunifor left their audiences spellbound and longing for more. They are planning to record their first full length CD in January 2011, and hope it will be available by March. Forthcoming gigs are Cellan Millennium Hall on the 8th January, and Burnett's Hill Chapel in Creswell Quay, Pembrokeshire, on Thursday 10th March. More gigs in the pipeline. Watch this space!
